We attended the Movie premiere of Ghostbusters 2016 tonight and we want to get one thing clear, ignore the critics slating the movie as it brings a comedy twist to the original 80’s classic – if you expecting a remake then you will be disappointed. Producer and ex-Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd changes it up and instead of following on from the last Ghostbuster he takes it in a new funnier direction that you can relate to if you’re a fan of the original.

The movie is full of funny scenes to keep you entertained throughout and to be honest a few ‘make you jump’ parts to add to this great film. The film starts with Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig Org) as college teacher looking to secure tenure at the local school but this is interrupted after her old best friend Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) releases a book on Amazon. Abby is working on equipment along with Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) who is the whacky inventor when the all go to see the first sitting of a ghost at the local museum.

As the team set up they are joined by Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) who has a wealth of knowledge about the city, adding to the Ghostbusters is the funny side of Chris Hemsworth, receptionist Kevin.

Kevin along with the ladies add non-stop comedy and we will try not to give too much away but a few easter eggs are plotted throughout the film and be sure to stay to the very end …… after all the credits.

We are giving this film a rating of:

This is down to the way the movie is twisted into comedy and kept the elements of the original films.
